Adventure Isn’t The Enemy of Stability

“If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary.” – Jim Rohn

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste it, to experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experiences.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

“Plunge boldly into the thick of life, and seize it where you will, it is always interesting.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

To go where the Holy Spirit leads, requires a bit of adventure. Yes, it’s the adventure He stirred in us, but it’s His courage that gives us the ability to continue when times are difficult. Moving as a family unit, and figuring out what is necessary, what is frivolous and what is just personal preference has made living abroad quite an adventure; also it’s given revelation about ourselves. His constant sanctifying work in us has been uncovered more apparently cross culturally than at any other juncture in time.
